  • Can I give aspirin to my dog?
    Yes. As long as your dog is not on any other pain medication or has liver or kidney issues the dose for aspirin is : 325mg buffered aspirin per 40 pounds every 12 hour. Do not give more than 2 adult aspirin per dose.
  • Can I give aspirin to a cat?
    Yes, but only after consulting a veterinarian.
  • Can I give my dog anything else for pain?
    Yes. There are many safe medications made specifically for dogs, but these must be labeled for dogs. Do not give ibuprofen, naproxen or any other human prescription pain reliever to a dog. Tylenol is relatively safe but not generally used in dogs.
  • Can I give Tylenol (acetaminophen) to a cat?
    NEVER. acetaminophen will kill a cat.
