Dr. Jeffrey (Jeff) Arnold is a 1985 graduate of the College of Veterinary Medicine at Iowa State University. He also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln (1978) and Masters degree in reproductive physiology from the University of Tennessee (1981). He practices both small and large animal medicine. Before coming to Fort Dodge, he was a partner at the Rolfe Veterinary Clinic, working in Pocahontas, Iowa. He and Dr. Susie have five children.
Jeff is interested in attracting as many different species of birds as possible to his bird feeders and has a special fondness for hummingbirds. He collects coins and enjoys hunting and fishing.

Dr. Susan (Susie) Arnold graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology in 1980. She attended graduate school briefly at UNO before moving on to graduate from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Iowa State University in 1986. She is interested in small and exotic animals including reptiles. Before joining Town & Country Veterinary Clinic she practiced in Fort Dodge, Iowa and Sac City, Iowa. She and Dr. Jeff are the parents of four sons and a daughter.
Dr. Susie is a published author and illustrator, having worked for the Anatomy Department at Iowa State University. She writes poetry and science fiction and fantasy stories. She gardens in the summer and tends to a happy school of pond fish. She paints and draws in her spare time and plays the piano.
Sue is our smile behind the front desk. She can answer most minor questions you might have about your pet and can set you up for an appointment for everything else. She has been the receptionist since 2008.
Tracy is our groomer. She also helps out as a receptionist and an animal caretaker. She has been with us since 2008.
Darlene Lindner is one of our animal caretakers. She has years of experience working with dogs in kennel situations. She also helps with appointments and laboratory evaluations. She has worked with the Animal Rescue League and Critter Camp. Darlene has been with us since 2012.
Tammy is one of our receptionists and animal caretaker. She comes to us from Almost Home Animal Shelter and has a long history of caring for animals. She has been our resident cat lady since 2012.
Echo is our vet assistant and she helps out the animal caretaker. She has been with us since 2021
Chewie is a male Morkie who came to us through the pound in 2011. He likes squeaky toys, playing catch-me-if-you-can and kissing babies. He is our official greeter because he loves everyone and is too small to hurt a fly. He is also our assistant janitor. “Clean up on Isle 3!”
