Many animals require dental care to maintain good oral hygiene and to keep their breath from becoming an issue for the owner. This is done under general anesthesia. An ultrasonic scaler is used and the teeth are polished after cleaning. We use gas anesthesia and offer pre-anesthetic bloodwork to identify any undiagnosed underlying problems. Most animals are awake within an hour and are ready to return home by early afternoon if not sooner.
